Once Remembered Photography is participating in the International Charity Model Search to select North America’s Cutest Family and to raise funds for the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation. (NILMDTS.org)

Are your loved ones North America’s Cutest Family? We’ll give you the opportunity to prove it! Many exciting prizes will be awarded, and the grand prize winner receives a new car!

Model Search Special:
$50 entrance fee includes a 30-minute family model session, a $50 print credit, and one image submitted to the national gallery.
(Some amazing portrait packages will be available for this event only!)

Finalists will be determined by online votes. Each vote is $1 (no limit on the amount of votes you can cast), and all proceeds from votes benefit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.

Grand prize international winner will be determined from the 52 city finalists. The winners will be selected from the finalist gallery by photography and modeling industry experts. The winning family also receives a session with the renowned portrait artist Sandy Puc’ and international recognition.

(Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS), is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization committed to assisting parents and families going through the difficult time when they experience an early infant loss. Last year’s competition featured 2,000 model’s images and raised $164,775 for the NILMDTS organization!)

Why go to a photographer *cough, cough* who charges $50 for an 8×10 when you can hop onto a place like Craigslist and get a whole session for $50 that includes 100’s of high resolution images on CD that includes a full copyright? With all the new fancy cameras out now, why not just go out and buy your own Canon Rebel for $500 and take your own pics?

I’ve been shooting and perfecting my craft for over 20 years now. I’m a great photographer (Not modest am I?), but I’m not the best writer. So I’ve never been very good at trying to explain why there are such differences in the cost in photography. But the truth is, you get what you pay for when it comes to photography.

There is a WORLD of difference between a good portrait studio and a cheap burn and shoot photographer. One excerpt from the article says, “there is always going to be a place for the new pro, the part-timer, and the person who serves special niche markets that can’t afford top of the line products” and I fully believe that. But I also think the public really needs to understand the difference and know what they are getting themselves into. In my opinion, important dates and milestones (weddings, maternity, first birthdays) only come once so you shouldn’t take any chances.

These files are high resolution without our URL. They are printable up to an 8×10 size and you may print them as many times as you like. Our normal price for 3 high resolution files is $450 so this is a great deal AND you get to help Haiti at the same time!

Details:

1. Call us to schedule your session time.
2. Go to the Red Cross site , check the “Haiti Relief and Development”, and pay your donation amount. You can, of course, donate more if you wish. The more we raise the better!
3. Email us a copy of your receipt to bonnie@onceremembered.com
4. Read and fill out our online portrait agreement here.
5. After your sessions, your 3 files will be fully retouched and then emailed to you within 2 weeks.
